On the evening of August 31, the studio of Shandong TV station observed the grand awarding ceremony of the 11th Mount Tai Arts and Literature of Shandong Province and the grand opening ceremony of the 12th Shandong International Mass Art Festival. The choreodrama “Xiangyu, the Conqueror” created by Guomin and Zhang Linxian, teachers of the School of Art, won the only one first prize in dancing category of the 11th Mount Tai Arts and Literature of Shandong Province. On behalf of Shandong University(Weihai), Guomin attended the awarding ceremony.

It is reported that Mount Tai Arts and Literature of Shandong Province, a comprehensive literary and art award approved and established by the CPC Shandong Province Committee and the Shandong Provincial People's Government in November 2007, is the highest prize in the literary and art circles of Shandong Province and represents the highest honor of the literary and art circles in Shandong Province. 546 art works of drama, music, quyi, dance, acrobatics, fine art, calligraphy, photography, film, television, folk literature and 94 works of literary theory and criticism participated in the 11th Mount Tai Arts and Literature of Shandong Province, and 122 works were awarded. Among those wining works, there were 19 first prizes, 37 second prizes, and 56 third prizes for artistic works; 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 5 third prizes for literary theory and criticism. And there was only one first prize in dancing category.
